In person. At ENGR tutoring, we firmly believe in the power of in-person tutoring for maximizing the effectiveness of our teaching. While we understand the convenience of online sessions, we value the importance of face-to-face interactions and personalized instruction. In-person tutoring allows us to establish a strong rapport with our students, read their body language, and adapt our teaching methods in real-time based on their responses, fostering better comprehension and retention of mathematical concepts.
Our tutors are carefully selected from a pool of talented Engineering and Math students at Concordia University. They undergo a rigorous screening process, evaluating their subject knowledge, teaching skills, current program and University CGPA. Rest assured that our tutors possess the expertise and dedication necessary to guide you towards success.
Our tutoring sessions primarily take place in private rooms at Concordia University, However, we understand that there may be situations where meeting at Concordia is not feasible or convenient for all students. In such cases, arrangements can be made with your specific tutor to determine an alternative location. Our priority is to ensure that you receive the support you need in a setting that works best for you.
While our focus is on the specialized branches of math that are the three subdivisions listed above, we still offer support in other areas of mathematics. When you reach out to us, we will assess your needs and provide guidance on the best way to assist you.
We offer both options. Whether you prefer individual sessions for personalized attention or group study sessions for collaborative learning, we can accommodate your needs. Simply let us know your preferences, and we will arrange the appropriate sessions accordingly.
Our crash courses are held predominantly during midterm and final seasons to provide targeted support during these crucial periods. Once again, we offer both one-on-one and group sessions to accommodate different learning preferences. If a student already has a tutoring package, they can use any hours remaining in their package towards these crash courses. The length can range anywhere from 3-6 hours, depending on the student’s needs.
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to reschedule or cancel a tutoring session, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We will work with you to find an alternative time that suits both you and your tutor.
In addition to personalized tutoring sessions, we provide supplementary resources, including practice exercises, study materials, and recommended textbooks, to enhance your learning experience. These resources will be tailored to your specific needs and given during the tutoring sessions.
For optimal progress and a comprehensive understanding of the material, we recommend scheduling tutoring sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. By maintaining regular sessions, we can closely follow your course progression and identify areas where you may need additional support. Consistency in scheduling allows us to track your progress, identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses, and tailor our instruction accordingly. It also enables us to provide timely feedback and address any misconceptions or difficulties as they arise.
Your feedback is important to us! We welcome your thoughts and suggestions to continually improve our services. You can provide feedback directly to your tutor or reach out to our support team through our contact channels. If you have any further questions or require additional information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you on your mathematical journey!
